I came back to Lubbock last Sunday. I think we did really good at our competition and am sure we placed (just not sure if first). It was nice to resume training today. I came in an hour early and Gary and I worked our Chuden Tatehiza empty hand application. We practiced mokko quite a bit and I think we have it down.
While surfing the net today, I found this cool video about budo in World War II Japan. You can view it here. Please note it is from the 1940s, and because of the time period the narrator may say things that are not necessary true today. One thing I like about the video is it has a scene of Jissen Kendo (combative kendo) with two swordsman attackers versus a yari or bayoneted rifle defender. The video is great for anyone interested in Japanese history.
