The Austin Komei Jyuku dojo is almost ready! This month I have been taking care of all the business aspects of running a dojo and let me tell you it is a little more complicated that I thought. Long story short, I believe I have everything taken care of to 'open the doors' to the dojo and plan to start classes in September. If anyone lives in Austin / North Austin area and wants to learn traditional budo / Japanese swordsmanship, feel free to contact me and let me know you are interested in classes.
We will be training one day a week for one hour starting out. Once the dojo grows we will expand to two days a week.
The dojo website should be up this month as well (right now it is just a simple page).
I want to thank Bushey Sensei, James (from j-armory.com), and Tim (from elemental blend). You all have helped me a lot in the business aspects of running a dojo.
I may be interested depending on the time slots. Do you know days/times will classes be offered yet?
I am going to try to get Tuesday or Thursday at 7pm-8pm. I should know for sure sometime next week.
